Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Ready for Baby Number 2!

It’s been a year full of change for Meghan Markle and Prince Harry. After announcing their intentions to step down

It’s been a year full of change for Meghan Markle and Prince Harry. After announcing their intentions to step down from royal duties and stop drawing income from the royal coffers, Markle and her royal hubby moved to California full-time to strike out on their own. Now, the couple may be making yet another big change and welcoming baby number 2.

The Royals Go West Coast

After issuing a statement indicating that they were stepping down from royal life in January, Meghan and Harry moved to Santa Barbara, California. The couple recently bought a $14 million mansion for themselves, baby Archie, and possibly baby number two?

Now that the royal couple has struck a deal with Netflix for their own series, they may have the financial stability they need to add another two feet to the Mountbatten-Windsor family home.

A Source Tells All About Plans for Baby Two

A source close to the couple who spoke to Us Weekly described Meghan’s state of mind planning for another bundle of joy, “‘Now that they’re comfortable in their new home and everything else in their lives is locked in and going well, Meghan’s told Harry it’s baby time,’ the source reveals. ‘She’s ready to be a mom again and can’t wait to start the process!’

‘Meghan loves being a mom, and seeing how happy and complete Harry is with Archie by his side is richly rewarding for her,’ the source adds. ‘Meghan’s confident a second child will be perfectly manageable on a practical level and will bring them even more love and joy. She and Harry are both really excited for the next phase of their family journey.’”

The source adds, “Meghan wanted them to find their footing with Archie first, and also get the big move out of the way and know where they were going career-wise. Once all that was in place, she gave Harry the go-ahead.”

Meghan and Harry Look Forward to Christmas in the UK

A source recently told Us Weekly that the couple is eager to return to Harry’s old stomping grounds for Christmas. The source says, “‘There’s a lot of tradition surrounding the holidays with his family, and they both have really loved that in the past,’ the source says. ‘With the uncertainty of COVID, they have been taking it one day at a time and are hopeful that they can all go back together and spend it as a family.’

The coronavirus pandemic may impact the couple’s plans, however, as they likely would have to quarantine for two weeks before they could see the royal family.

‘Time will tell if that will need to happen and if it could potentially impact what they do and when, but they are all eager to get back to spend time with Harry’s family and for Archie to see his great-grandmother [Queen Elizabeth II] and great-grandfather [Prince Philip] in particular.’”

Normally, the news that Meghan and Harry are eager to return to the UK for the holidays would be of passing interest. However, Christmas would be the perfect time for an announcement with family that baby number two is on the way!

When is it Time For Royal Baby Watch?

Supporters of the royal couple will remember the hoopla and excitement that was Archie’s Baby Watch. So when can we expect to start another exciting countdown for the new royal darling?

The exact details are still murky. While Meghan may be giving Harry all the winks and nudges that it’s time for another baby, no specifics have been shared by the couple. If they’re planning on a baby soon, we could start Baby Watch as soon as 2021. After the year that we’ve all had in 2020, CELEB personally has our fingers crossed for Baby Watch ’21!

Read Their Statement from January About Retiring from Royal Duties

Fans eager for news about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex can read their statement from January as we await more news about baby number two:

“After many months of reflection and internal discussions, we have chosen to make a transition this year in starting to carve out a progressive new role within this institution. We intend to step back as ‘senior’ members of the Royal Family and work to become financially independent, while continuing to fully support Her Majesty The Queen. It is with your encouragement, particularly over the last few years, that we feel prepared to make this adjustment. We now plan to balance our time between the United Kingdom and North America, continuing to honour our duty to The Queen, the Commonwealth, and our patronages.

This geographic balance will enable us to raise our son with an appreciation for the royal tradition into which he was born, while also providing our family with the space to focus on the next chapter, including the launch of our new charitable entity. We look forward to sharing the full details of this exciting next step in due course, as we continue to collaborate with Her Majesty The Queen, The Prince of Wales, The Duke of Cambridge and all relevant parties. Until then, please accept our deepest thanks for your continued support.” – The Duke and Duchess of Sussex
