After 27 years of marriage, Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky have decided to separate, as confirmed by PEOPLE. A source close to the couple reveals that while they have been living under the same roof, their separation has been ongoing for some time. They maintain an amicable relationship as they navigate their future, both individually and for their family.
Richards, 54, first crossed paths with Umansky, 53, at a nightclub in 1994. At that time, Richards was divorced from her first husband, Guraish Aldjufrie, with whom she shares a daughter named Farrah Brittany (née Aldjufrie), now 34 years old.
The couple got engaged later in 1994 and eventually tied the knot in January 1996. They went on to have three daughters together: Alexia, 27, Sophia, 23, and Portia, 15.
In 2010, the public was introduced to their family through the reality show The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, which premiered on Bravo. Throughout the show’s 12 seasons, Richards and Umansky emphasized that their on-screen portrayal reflected their genuine relationship.
