This week, Donald Trump was historically arraigned on 34 felony charges related to an illegally made hush-money payment ahead of the 2016 election.
His reaction to the stunning rebuke of the 45th President has ranged from righteous indignation and excitement that he can fundraise off the furor, to anger and apparent embarrassment.
But now he’s lashing out at the Democrats again, blaming them for his indictment – and saying it’s his fault that the country is being destroyed. At least, that’s what people are apparently saying.

Trump seemed to be up early on Friday, first saying that his campaign is receiving “lots of job requests” from people who previously worked with (or currently work with) Florida Governor Ron DeSantis. Trump wrote, “We’re getting lots of job requests from people currently working for the Social Security/Medicare cutting (JUST WATCH!) DeSanctimonious Campaign. Ron’s Poll numbers are dropping so fast and furious that many people are speculating he’s not going to run. Just hired ‘Kiss of Death’ Jeff Roe, who dropped YoungKim, to see if he can help (he will only help make Ron poor!). I’m leading in Texas by 42 points, Iowa and New Hampshire by a lot, overall by close to 40, and by 10 against Scamer [sic] Joe Biden!”
He then added, “The good ol’ USA is losing so much, so fast, that at the end of the 1 1/2 years remaining in the most incompetent administration in history, we may not even have a Country left. There’s an INVASION at our Border, we’re about to lose our ‘Dollar’ as the World Standard, and we could, because of ‘Stupid People,’ end up in World War lll. The only things they do well is CHEATING ON ELECTIONS, DISINFORMATION CAMPAIGNS, and WEAPONIZING THE JUSTICE SYSTEM. We are a Nation in Decline, a Failing Nation!!!” It’s unclear why Trump put “dollar” in quotation marks, but given his propensity for randomly capitalizing and quoting items, it probably has no significant meaning.
But before taking a break from Truth for awhile, Trump turned to a non sequitur of a topic that seems to be on his mind a lot: the fact that he’s being blamed for the country’s ills despite feeling that he has no responsibility for them. Trump wrote, “Here’s the new DISINFORMATION chant from the people destroying our Country – IT’S TRUMP’S FAULT!!!”
In the past, Trump has suggested that he’s being blamed unfairly for the state of the country today – but it’s not exactly uncommon to blame any former POTUS for lingering ills.
Joe Biden Blames Afghanistan Withdrawal Disasters on Lack of Trump Planning

And just this week, President Joe Biden suggested that it was decisions enacted under Trump that caused the disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan, leaving Biden “severely constrained.”
NBC News reports, “The White House released a report Thursday about the decisions made regarding the 2021 U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan, including the bombing at the Kabul airport that killed 13 U.S. service members.
The 12-page report by the National Security Council summarizes the administration’s assessment of the withdrawal and largely blames former President Donald Trump’s administration for the chaos that unfolded as U.S. troops were leaving and as Americans and Afghans evacuated from the country. The Taliban took over the government and have remained in power.
‘President Biden’s choices for how to execute a withdrawal from Afghanistan were severely constrained by conditions created by his predecessor,’ the report said.”
According to the report, when Trump took office in 2017 there were 10,000 US troops in the country – but he cut the numbers back until just 2,500 remained.
The White House blames the Trump administration’s lack of communication over the transition period. They added that Trump’s admin, “provided no plans for how to conduct the final withdrawal or to evacuate Americans and Afghan allies. President Biden had committed to ending the war in Afghanistan, but when he came into office he was confronted with difficult realities left to him by the Trump Administration.”
Biden said that the US is “well aware of the challenges posed by withdrawing from a warzone” after 20 years. And that the Trump administration left a target date to leave Afghanistan, but provided “no plan for executing it.”

Trump addressed the news on Truth Social late last night, writing, “These Morons in the White House, who are systematically destroying our Country, headed up by the biggest Moron of them all, Hopeless Joe Biden, have a new disinformation game they are playing – Blame ‘TRUMP’ for their grossly incompetent SURRENDER in Afghanistan. I watched this disaster unfold just like everyone else. I saw them take out the Military FIRST, GIVE $85 Billion of military equipment, allow killing of our soldiers, and leave Americans behind. Biden is responsible, no one else!”
Trump is currently awaiting another appearance in court in December over the 34 felony charges, and a number of other criminal investigations which could result in indictments in the near future.
