Crystal Hefner, the widow of late Playboy mogul Hugh Hefner, is preparing to expose the truth behind the glamorous facade of the Playboy Mansion. In her forthcoming memoir, titled “Only Say Good Things,” Crystal plans to shed light on the “toxic objectification and misogyny” she endured during her time at the iconic residence.

Despite previously concealing her true feelings to protect her husband’s image, Crystal, now 37, is determined to share her authentic experiences. She was handpicked by Hefner in the mid-2000s at the age of 21, and despite the significant 60-year age gap, the couple tied the knot on New Year’s Eve in 2012. Their marriage endured until Hefner’s passing in 2017 at the age of 91.

Crystal’s memoir promises to delve into the “stolen” years of her young adulthood and the reality of being Hefner’s “number one girlfriend.” The book, scheduled for release in January 2024, reflects Crystal’s journey of self-discovery since her husband’s death and her determination to find her own voice.

Acknowledging the complexities of her relationship with Hugh Hefner, Crystal confesses that she constantly felt the need to protect him, which prevented her from sharing her story until now. The memoir marks a pivotal moment in her life as she embraces her truth and processes everything she has been through.

In recent years, Crystal has undergone a transformative journey, abandoning the glamorous image associated with her Playboy days. She now advocates for natural beauty after her struggles with illness following the removal of toxic breast implants in 2016.

Crystal is not the first former partner of Hugh Hefner to shed light on the realities of life at the Playboy Mansion. Holly Madison, another ex-girlfriend, revealed in the 2022 A&E docuseries “Secrets of Playboy” that Hefner possessed explicit photos of women and allegedly used them as leverage. Madison, who dated Hefner from 2001 to 2008, confessed to living in fear during her time at the mansion, with the constant threat of revenge porn looming over her.
